Howdy there, fellow adventurers! get ready for some unforgettable experiences! Let's dive into the top five things you can only do in this amazing city.

1. Bat-Watching at South Congress Bridge

Did you know it's the largest urban bat colony in North America?

Picture this: 1.5 million bats emerging from under the bridge at sunset. It's an awe-inspiring sight!

Best time to see them? Head to South Congress Bridge between March and October, about an hour before sunsets (7:15-9:00pm) and witness this extraordinary event.

You can stand freely on the congress bridge, go to ladybird lake or take a bat tour (~$13) on a boat to get the closest look.

Pro tip: you can buy bat poo candles while you're there (Yes! it's a thing! 🤯)

2. Chicken Sh** Bingo at Longhorn Saloon

Yep, you heard that right (Swear I'm not making this up), at Longhorn saloon you can Bet on where chickens will poop next, the game is called Chicken Sh*💩 Bingo and you can actually gain prices. If you want to play, go to Longhorn Saloon on Sundays from 4 to 8 pm. It's a bizarre yet hilarious experience you won't find anywhere else.

3. Visit the Cathedral of Junk

Prepare for some eccentricity!

A local artist built a house entirely of junk in his backyard. The Cathedral of Junk is a sight to behold with over 60 tons of trash, even featuring a throne of junk. I too thought it's the same throne from Game of Thrones, but nah.

There is no entrance fee since it runs on donation ,to visit you have to call and book the time of arrival (512-299-7413).

4. Savor the Best BBQ in the World

You can't leave Austin without trying the legendary Texan barbecue.

While many swear by Franklin's, beware! the lines at Franklin's can get up to 3 hours waiting line. I mean It's worth the wait, but I personally enjoy Rudy's- extra moist extra char brisket which is just an absolute chefs kiss

5. Go Kart at Circuit of the Americas

Lastly, my favorite activity in Austin. if you feel the need for speed Head to Circuit of the Americas, a 3.4-mile racetrack with 20 turns and thrilling elevation changes. You can hit speeds up to 55 MPH! Whether you're planning a team outing or just a fun day with pals, COTA Karting is a blast. At $35 for a ten-minute dash, they set you up with everything you need. Trust me, you're gonna love it

*Tip: You can also watch events like F1 or Moto GP or even take your own car or motorcycle for an exhilarating ride.
